Welcome MIGHTY Bullpups and Bullpup Parents! It’s time for a brand new year at La Porte Junior High! My name is Veronica DeLeon and I am thrilled to be your 8th grade science teacher at LPJH! This will be my 12th year in education, and I am looking forward to meeting and working with you this school year!
We have an exciting year ahead of us exploring many different topics in Science beginning with Lab Safety, Interdependence of Living Systems, and Climatic Interactions. We will work on a varitey of activities such as critical reading and writing, laboratory activities utilizing individual and group work skills, creativity, problem solving, analytical skills and scientific reasoning. At the completion of this rigorous, fast-paced course students will be prepared for the challenges of future scientific endeavors. I am committed to provide students with a learning environment that encourages students to excel and expand their knowledge in the Science disciplines. I will strive to ensure that each student receives a strong science foundation and develops the skills necessary to succeed and become responsible contributing members of society. Let's have an awesome year!
